A couple of weeks ago Michelle and I went to New York. I went to teach a class for work and Michelle went for a little R&R. It rained most of the time we were there, but we managed to have a good time.

Unforunately we didn't take our camera out most of the time so we had to rely on the phone camera on my Motorla v400. The pictures don't turn out that great, but it was better than nothing.
We went to a couple of musicals while we were there. We saw "Movin' Out" and "Chicago". Check out the album.

That's Paige Davis from Trading Spaces on TLC. She played Roxie. She was GREAT in the musical! :) Michelle says I'm a little biased since I think she's cute. Nah!
dog
So Michelle and I have decided to try again with another puppy. We're going to try Mojave Desert Beagles again. They have some new litters coming soon so we may take a look. We decided that it was worth it to look again after Amy. We kept seeing people with dogs and imaging ourselves with one. We thought of all the stuff we would do with a dog like take walks and go to dog parks. Even the simple things like getting a cup of coffee would seem so much more fun with a dog. We'll keep everyone updated.
vegas
We're off to Vegas this weekend so hopefully the temps won't be that intolerable. Michelle's brother has happily volunteered to housesit and catsit while we are away. We're staying at a new part of Mandalay Bay called THEHotel. It's an all-suite hotel. Every room has a 42" plasma screen TV. Wooohooo! Ya know what I'm doing as soon as I hit that room. :)
We just came back from a 5-day trip to Whistler. This was our second trip to the resort. Although the snow wasn't as great as our first trip, we still had a great time.

We left LAX on Thursday January 8th at 7:20 am aboard Air Canada. Even though we arrived at the airport at 5:00 am, it took almost 2 hours to get through ticketing and security. That didn't leave us much time to relax and grab breakfast before the flight. After a quick bite at Burger King we hopped on the plane and headed off for Vancouver. It was a short (3 hour) uneventful flight.
Once we arrived in Vancouver, we grabbed our luggage and piled into a van. Remarkably all of our luggage fit along with 9 people. After a grueling 2 hour drive we finally arrived in Whistler around 2:00 pm. Unfortunately we found out our rooms were unavailable for another 2 hours. We killed time eating and shopping.
After checking in we rested and then ate dinner at Sushi-ya, our favorite local sushi bar.
The next morning we woke up early for Fresh Tracks. Fresh Tracks gives you early access to the mountain as well as providing breakfast. We found out after breakfast that it really wasn't worth the extra money. ALthough the breakfast was pretty good, the snow wasn't that great to warrant the extra money and access to mediocre snow.
(continued soon...)
We can't wait to go back. It was nice however to finally come home and sleep in our own bed. We were happy to see the cats too.
The picture above was taken from the shores of a river that we passed on the way back to Vancouver. It's home to hundreds of bald eagles. Unfortunately the eagles were on the other side of the river so we couldn't get any close pictures.
I'll post some more pics of the trip really soon.
